I'm trying to recreate Addy's church fair spool puppets. It doesn't look that tough, but I'd appreciate it if someone measured the real things for me so that I could figure out which size to use for spools.
How tall is the soldier? Is he made out of 9 of the same size spools? What is the approximate spool size?
Is the dog made of 7 of the same spool size as the soldier?
Thanks!

The dog is 1 3/4 inches high and about 2 inches wide. The soldier is 3 inches tall, and 2 inches wide. The puppets are attached to a puppet stick with a length of string. For the dog, the stick is 3 inches long and the string in 4. For the soldier, the stick is 3 inches and the string is 4 and 1/4. The dog is 7 spools, all the same size. He has two spools for the body, and one each for the head and legs. The soldier is 9 spools, with two for each leg, two for the body, and one each for the head and arms. Good luck with making the puppets and let us know how they turn out!
